Collection: Rega

Rega have been making hi-fi in Southend-on-Sea since 1973. That longevity is not incidental — it reflects a philosophy held consistently enough to become a kind of doctrine: reduce mass, eliminate interference, and let the music through. Every product Rega make, from a £100 stylus to a reference power amplifier, is designed and built in Essex to that same principle.

Turntables

The Planar range is where most people start, and for good reason. The Rega Planar 1 is the entry point — a genuinely plug-and-play turntable that takes vinyl seriously without asking the listener to become an engineer. Step up through the Planar 2 and the Rega Planar 3 RS Edition, and the improvements are audible rather than merely measurable: lower noise, greater resolution of low-level detail, sharper timing. The Rega Planar 6 RS Edition takes things further still, with the RB880 tonearm and a ceramic-glass platter that would have been considered exotic not long ago.

Amplifiers

Rega's electronics follow the same logic. The Rega io is the natural partner for a Planar 1 or Planar 2 — compact, direct, and with a built-in phono stage that removes the need for a separate box. The Rega Brio MK7 offers more headroom and a step up in refinement. At the top of the range, the Rega Mercury pre-amplifier and Rega Solis power amplifier are Rega's reference statement — designed without compromise and built to last.

Cartridges and Phono Stages

Rega make cartridges to match every deck in the range. The Rega Carbon MM Cartridge is fitted as standard to the entry-level decks; the Rega Nd7 and Rega Nd9 offer moving magnet performance at a higher level; and the Rega Apheta 3 is the moving coil option for those seeking the finest resolution from vinyl. The Rega Aria Mk3 phono stage completes any serious Rega front end.

At Martins Hi-Fi

Martins Hi-Fi has been in Norwich since 1968. Elizabeth Gould runs the business today, and we stock only brands we have heard properly and stand behind. The full Rega range is available to hear at our Norwich showroom — we recommend a listening session, particularly if you are comparing decks or building a system from scratch. When you get in touch, you'll be speaking with Dave and Chris — experienced specialists who can advise on the right Rega product for your system and your listening habits.
