Collection: Chord Company

Chord Company has been designing and building cables in England since 1985. Based in Wiltshire, the company makes every cable in its own facility — winding, terminating, and testing each one by hand. That commitment to British manufacturing has never wavered, and neither has the underlying conviction that cables are not an accessory but a fundamental part of any serious audio system.

The Chord Company range spans every connection in a modern hi-fi or home cinema system: analogue and digital interconnects, speaker cables, power cables, streaming cables, HDMI, phono and tonearm cables. Each range — from the entry-level C-series through to the reference Sarum T and ARAY-equipped Signature lines — is built around the same philosophy: reduce noise, preserve signal integrity, and let the music through. The proprietary ARAY conductor geometry, developed and refined over many years, addresses the way electrons travel through a cable and the interference patterns that degrade fine detail and timing. The result is not a subtle difference — it is a fundamental improvement in what your system can tell you about a recording.

At Martins Hi-Fi we have been specifying and demonstrating Chord Company cables for many years. We know how transformative the right cable can be — and how much a poorly chosen one can hold a system back. Our team can advise on the correct cable at every price point, whether you are connecting a turntable for the first time or completing a reference-level system.
