Chord Sarum T bi-wire speaker links
Somewhere in the back of a loudspeaker costing five figures there is a pair of stamped metal plates that cost the manufacturer almost nothing. They were fitted at the factory so the loudspeaker works out of the box for the majority of owners who will never bi-wire it, and they are usually the cheapest component in the entire signal path. Every note reaching the treble unit has passed through one.
Replacing them is the least glamorous upgrade in hi-fi and one of the most reliably worthwhile. The Sarum T bi-wire speaker links are The Chord Company's version for high-end loudspeakers with bi-wire terminal blocks, hand-built in Amesbury and fitted with ChordOhmic connectors — Chord's next-generation banana plugs and spade terminals, ChorAlloy™ plated at the factory.
They are supplied in sets of four links, each 280mm long, which is what a stereo pair of bi-wireable loudspeakers requires. And they do not care what speaker cable you are using: the links are a self-contained improvement whether the rest of the run is Chord or not.

Who Is It For?
Owners of a bi-wireable loudspeaker who are running a single cable to it — which is most people, since single-wiring with good links is a perfectly respectable choice and often preferable to bi-wiring with mediocre cable. If your loudspeakers have one pair of terminals, or you already bi-wire or bi-amp, you do not need these and should not buy them.
They also work as the last piece of a full Sarum T system, but that is not the interesting case. The interesting case is the sceptic with an expensive pair of loudspeakers and the factory links still fitted, who has never thought about them. Tell us which loudspeakers you own and whether the terminals take spades or 4mm plugs and we will confirm the right termination before ordering. The rest of the range is on our Chord Company collection page, and the matching Sarum T Analogue RCA interconnect is where most Sarum T systems begin.
Buying from Martins Hi-Fi
These are the least expensive way into the Sarum T range and among the quickest things to fit, which makes them a sensible place to start if the rest of the range interests you. Tell us which loudspeakers you own and whether the terminals take spades or 4mm plugs, and the right termination can be confirmed before anything is ordered. A listen at home is available under our home evaluation service.
