Kaleidescape make movie servers and players for people who take home cinema as seriously as audiophiles take their hi-fi. Where streaming services compress and repackage film content for convenience, Kaleidescape stores and delivers movies as bit-for-bit identical copies of the studio master — full lossless audio, full resolution video, no compression artefacts, no buffering, no dependence on an internet connection. For a dedicated cinema room, it is the only digital movie source that delivers what the director intended.

The system divides into two components: Terra movie servers, which store the library, and Strato movie players, which connect to the screen and sound system. The Strato C is the entry point — compact, straightforward, and capable of 4K HDR playback with full lossless audio including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. The Strato V builds on that with higher sustained bit rates and support for the most demanding mastering formats. Terra servers range from the Compact Terra through to the Terra Prime Solid-State, offering storage capacities that scale with the size of the collection — up to 31TB on the solid-state model, sufficient for several hundred 4K films.

The Kaleidescape movie store provides access to thousands of titles, many mastered at higher quality than the equivalent Blu-ray release. Once purchased, films are available immediately and stored permanently, independent of licensing changes or streaming catalogue withdrawals.
