Rega Apheta 3 | Moving Coil Cartridge
The Apheta 3 sits at the heart of Rega's moving coil cartridge range — a design that reflects decades of refinement and one that Rega themselves fit as an optional upgrade to the Planar 8 and Planar 10 turntables. It is not an entry point; it is a statement of where Rega believe a serious moving coil should be.
Designed for Rega Tonearms
The Apheta 3 carries a front third fixing point designed specifically for use with Rega tonearms. Rega supply their own mounting hardware and are emphatic that it must be used — incorrect hardware will destroy the fine internal wires of the cartridge. Fitting with a Rega torque wrench is recommended.
Separation and Channel Balance
Channel separation is ≥ −29 dB and channel balance is ≥ 20 μV.
