KEF has been at the heart of British loudspeaker design since 1961. Founded in Maidstone, Kent, the company has spent over six decades pushing the boundaries of what a loudspeaker can do — pioneering the use of synthetic materials for driver cones and surrounds, and among the first manufacturers to apply computer modelling to acoustic design and testing.

That engineering heritage runs through everything KEF make today. Their Uni-Q driver — a point-source array that places the tweeter at the acoustic centre of the midrange or bass driver — appears across the range, from the compact LS50 Meta to the flagship Blade. The result is a speaker that disperses sound more evenly through a room, reducing the listening sweet spot and giving more listeners a more coherent stereo image.
