Uni-Q Driver Array with Tangerine Waveguide

At the heart of the Ci200RS-THX sits KEF's Uni-Q driver array — a 38 mm vented aluminium dome tweeter mounted at the acoustic centre of a 200 mm woofer, forming a concentric point-source arrangement that ensures high and mid-range frequencies radiate from precisely the same point in space. This coincident geometry produces a soundstage of exceptional stability and width — a quality of particular importance in a wall-mounted loudspeaker, where the relationship between speaker and listener is fixed by the architecture of the room. KEF's patented tangerine waveguide manages high-frequency airflow across the dome, ensuring even and natural dispersion throughout the listening space and maintaining consistent tonal balance across a wide listening angle.

The Ci200RS-THX carries an IP64 rating — certified dust-tight and resistant to water splashing from any direction. This rating extends the Ci200RS-THX's application beyond the dedicated cinema room into environments where moisture resistance is a requirement, including covered outdoor areas and bathroom or kitchen installations where acoustic performance without compromise is demanded. The safety loop construction, magnetic grille, ultra-thin bezel, and paintable white grille ensure that installation is straightforward and the finished result is entirely discreet.

The optional RIF200S rough-in frame is available separately for new-build or renovation installations where the speaker position must be fixed before finishing work is complete.
