Rega Turntables and Accessories

Rega make their turntables in Southend-on-Sea, and have done since 1973. Every decision in their design process — from the rigidity of the plinth to the geometry of the tonearm — is made with one objective: to retrieve as much information from the groove as possible, and to lose as little of it as possible on the way to your amplifier.

The Planar range spans from the Planar 1, a genuinely impressive plug-and-play turntable that asks nothing of the user beyond pressing play, to the Naia — a reference-level instrument that represents the culmination of five decades of single-minded engineering. Between them sit the Planar 2, 3, 6, 8 and 10, each offering a meaningful step up in platter, bearing, tonearm and cartridge technology. There is also the Planar 78 for collectors of shellac 78 RPM records, and a range of individual tonearms — the RB220, RB330 and RB3000 — for those building or upgrading a custom deck.

What distinguishes Rega from the broader market is not a single headline feature but the consistency of the philosophy.
