Kaleidescape Mini Terra Prime Movie Server
The Mini Terra Prime Movie Server is Kaleidescape's compact solid-state server, storing and serving content to network-attached Strato movie players. At 6.4 by 6.4 inches and just 1.1 inches tall — weighing under a kilogram — it is considerably smaller than traditional servers, yet its 8TB of solid-state storage holds approximately 75 4K Cinematic movies, 130 4K titles, 216 HD films, or up to 1,200 SD movies.
4K Cinematic Content
Every movie purchased through the Kaleidescape store can be downloaded in the format the system supports: 8K, 4K Cinematic, 4K Dolby Vision, 4K HDR10, 4K SDR, HD, or SD. The 4K Cinematic format carries Dolby Vision, HDR10, and SDR variants at bitrates well beyond what disc-based formats typically carry. Over a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet connection, a movie downloads in as little as four minutes.
kOS — Kaleidescape's Own Operating System
The Mini Terra Prime runs kOS, Kaleidescape's proprietary operating system, developed and maintained entirely in-house. Updates arrive automatically.
Silent Operation
There is no internal fan. The Mini Terra Prime is convection cooled, with no fan. Maximum power consumption is 23W; typical consumption is 15W.
Serving Multiple Rooms
The Mini Terra Prime can serve up to 25 simultaneous movie playbacks to network-attached Strato movie players across the home. It requires a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet connection for recommended performance, with 1 Gigabit Ethernet as the minimum. A USB 3.0 port is present but reserved. The server works with players such as the Kaleidescape Strato C Movie Player, the Kaleidescape Strato K Movie Player, or the Kaleidescape Strato V Movie Player.
For larger storage requirements, the Kaleidescape Terra Prime Movie Server and the Kaleidescape Terra Prime Solid-State Movie Server 31TB offer expanded capacity.
