T+A MP 200 G3 Multi Source Player
The MP 200 G3 is the source component of T+A's Series 200 — a CD player, network streamer and radio tuner in one compact chassis, designed to sit alongside the DAC 200 rather than duplicate it. See the full Series 200 range we stock.
The G3 designation refers to the third generation of T+A's Audiophile Streaming Architecture. What that buys you in practice is a wider set of streaming services and the ability to stream DSD files natively from the network — sent to T+A's True 1-Bit converter as a bitstream rather than being converted to PCM somewhere along the way.
Sources in One Box
The CD section reads CD/DA, CD-R, CD-RW and CD-text, with a quoted frequency response of 2 Hz – 20 kHz and 100 dB. Streaming covers MP3, AAC, OGG Vorbis, FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC and M4A over UPnP AV, handling PCM from 32 to 384 kHz at 16 or 24 bit, and DSD64, DSD128 and DSD256.
Services are Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music HD, Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay 2 and Roon Ready. Both tuners are present and properly specified rather than token: FM covers 87.5–108 MHz with 40 µV stereo sensitivity and 50 dB channel separation, and DAB+ covers Band III, 168–240 MHz, at 2.5 µV sensitivity.
SYS Link
The MP 200 G3 will work with any converter, but it is designed around the Series 200 ones. SYS Link connects it to the DAC 200 or the HA 200 and exchanges control data between them, routing audio along the optimum path and letting the two behave as one component rather than two boxes that happen to be stacked. The cable is included.
This is the argument for buying the pair together. Bought separately and connected conventionally, both work perfectly well; connected over SYS Link, the everyday business of switching sources and controlling volume stops being two operations.
Connections
Two S/P-DIF digital inputs and one optical input take external sources. Networking is gigabit Ethernet or Wi-Fi to 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax. Bluetooth is aptX HD, and will handle uncompressed FLAC.

Who Is It For?
Anyone building a Series 200 system, and anyone who still owns CDs and does not want a separate box for them. The combination of disc, streaming, FM and DAB+ in one compact unit is increasingly unusual, and the tuners in particular are specified as though someone expected them to be used.
Pair it with the DAC 200 for a two-box system, or with the HA 200 if headphones are your main listening. If you want the same thinking in a single box with amplification included, look at the Symphonia instead.
Buying from Martins Hi-Fi
Series 200 is a range that rewards being bought as a system, and SYS Link is the reason — it is easy to overlook on a specification sheet and obvious the moment you use it. We can demonstrate the MP 200 G3 with the DAC 200 in Norwich so you can hear what the pairing does before deciding how many boxes you need.
