Current Dumping: Quad's Patented Amplification Technology

Current Dumping resolves the fundamental compromise at the core of power amplifier design: the low distortion of Class A operation versus the thermal efficiency of Class B. OCC — Ohno Continuous Cast — copper is produced by a patented process that draws a single crystal up to 125 metres in length, virtually eliminating the grain boundaries and oxide impurities that afflict conventional Oxygen Free Copper. Where OFC typically contains around 400 crystal boundaries per foot, OCC presents an unimpeded, single-crystal path for the signal — the most direct and transparent conductor available, and a material whose use in the Artera Mono's output stage represents an uncompromising commitment to signal integrity that is without parallel at this price point.
