Naim Uniti Star Lite
The Naim Uniti Star Lite is an all-in-one streaming player and integrated amplifier — a direct evolution of the Uniti Star, built around the realities of how people listen today. Its architecture is streamlined and its focus is clear: streaming and digital sources first, with a Class AB power amplifier delivering 70W into 8Ω and a connectivity suite that covers virtually every modern source. If you want a single box to do everything well, and do it without fuss, this is the point in the Naim range where that case is made most persuasively.
NP800 Streaming Platform
At the heart of the Star Lite is Naim's NP800 streaming card, which uses LVDS balanced digital signals internally to keep noise out of the signal path. The practical result of that architecture is a streaming platform that handles Spotify Connect, TIDAL, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, Chromecast Built-In, internet radio, UPnP servers, USB-attached storage, and Roon Ready — all from a single box, all controlled through the Focal & Naim app on iOS or Android. Wireless updates are delivered through the same app, so the platform improves over time without any manual intervention.
Bluetooth is handled via aptX, and voice control is available through Google Assistant and Apple Siri. The 5.0" colour display on the front panel means you are never far from what is playing, and the front-panel buttons give quick access to standby, play/pause, inputs and favourites without reaching for a phone.
Class AB Amplification
The amplifier section runs in Class AB and produces 70W into 8Ω at 0.1% THD+N. Two internal power supplies handle the workload: a high-quality linear supply built around a large toroidal transformer takes care of the audio circuits, while a highly efficient switch-mode supply keeps standby consumption below 0.5W. Galvanic isolation separates the control and audio circuits, which matters when a streaming device and an amplifier share the same chassis — noise from network activity stays well away from the signal path.
Connectivity
The Star Lite's input options are extensive. On the digital side there are two optical TOSLink inputs (up to 24bit/96kHz), two coaxial RCA inputs (up to 24bit/192kHz, DoP 64Fs), one BNC input (up to 192kHz, DoP 64Fs), HDMI ARC, and an SD card slot. Analogue connectivity comprises one RCA pair and one 5-pin DIN input — the DIN input will matter to anyone already in the Naim ecosystem. Outputs include a stereo power amplifier output, an RCA sub/pre output for those who want to add a subwoofer, and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the front panel. Two USB Type-A sockets (one front, one rear) handle attached storage and charge at 1.6A. Network connectivity is via Ethernet (10/100Mbps) or 802.11ac Wi-Fi, with diversity antennas built into the heatsink using a patented design.
Multiroom and Control
The Star Lite can serve up to four network-connected players via UPnP at full CD quality. Party Mode allows synchronised playback across up to six Uniti or compatible Focal and Naim streamers, controlled through the Focal & Naim app. The ZigBee RF bi-directional remote control works without line of sight, and volume changes made on the unit are reflected on the remote — a small detail that saves real irritation in daily use. App control is consistent across the Naim range, so anyone already familiar with the ecosystem will find the Star Lite immediately recognisable.
Audio Format Support
The Star Lite handles WAV up to 32bit/384kHz; FLAC, AIFF and ALAC up to 24bit/384kHz; MP3 and AAC up to 48kHz/320kbit; OGG and WMA up to 48kHz; and DSD at 64 and 128Fs. Gapless playback is supported across all formats.

Who Is It For?
The Uniti Star Lite suits someone who wants a single, well-engineered box to replace a separate streamer, amplifier and source — without compromising on sound quality or future-proofing. It is particularly well suited to those already in the Naim ecosystem, given the 5-pin DIN input and the shared Focal & Naim app platform, though it is equally accessible to newcomers who simply want a capable, straightforward system that will not need replacing in two years. The headphone output and HDMI ARC input extend its usefulness further than many rivals at this price point. It is not a product for those who want to mix and match separate components — it is for those who have decided, quite reasonably, that they do not want to.
If you are pairing the Star Lite with speakers and want to optimise cabling, our Naim NAC A5 speaker cable is the natural choice. For mains conditioning, the Naim Power-Line Lite is a cost-effective starting point, with the Naim Power-Line available for those who want to take it further.
