Meridian DSP750 Active In-Wall Speaker
The DSP750 is Meridian's highest-performing architectural loudspeaker — the reference at the top of the Reference Series In-Wall range. At 1230mm tall and 102mm deep, it delivers 120dB peak SPL from 30Hz to 40kHz in a cabinet that sits flush with the wall. Six drive units, ten amplifier channels, and Meridian's full Reference Series DSP technology suite make the DSP750 the choice for dedicated home cinemas and large architectural installations where no concession to performance is acceptable.
In HPA (High Powered Array) configuration with three DSP750s, peak output reaches 125dB at 1m — 105dB at 10 metres. This is the speaker for installations where the room is large and the expectation is absolute. Timbre-matched with the DSP730 for multi-speaker systems. See the full Meridian range we stock.
Drive Units and Amplification
The DSP750 houses six drive units in a three-way configuration: two 160mm long-throw bass drivers with titanium voice coils, two 100mm mid-range drivers with woven polypropylene cones, and an aluminium dome tweeter with custom steel waveguide. Every driver has its own dedicated bridged Class-D amplifier pair capable of 100 watts into 8 ohms — five amplifier pairs in total.
Doubling the bass and mid-range driver complement relative to the DSP730 produces the additional output, bass extension (30Hz vs 38Hz), and dynamic headroom that larger rooms require. Peak SPL of 120dB from a single 102mm-deep in-wall cabinet is a result that most visible floorstanding loudspeakers cannot match.
DSP Technologies
The DSP750 implements nine Meridian signal processing technologies including Full Frequency Alignment, Bespoke Signal Mapping, E3 Bass, Image Elevation, Q-Sync, True Time, True Link, Pro-Active Bass, Pro-Active Thermal, and HPA.
Full Frequency Alignment corrects group delay across the full bandwidth so all six drive units' contributions arrive at the listener simultaneously — the timing coherence that defines Meridian's reference performance.
Bespoke Signal Mapping applies crossover filters designed specifically for this six-driver, three-way configuration, ensuring perfect integration between all drive units.
E3 Bass extracts 30Hz extension from two 160mm drivers in a 102mm-deep in-wall cabinet — a result that would not be possible without three-stage digital bass processing.
Image Elevation raises the perceived sound image to screen centre — at the DSP750's installation scale, typically a large projection screen or 75"+ display, this is particularly important.
HPA (High Powered Array) enables arrays of multiple DSP750s to reach 125dB at 1m with full phase coherence between units.
Connectivity and Installation
The DSP750 connects via SpeakerLink (RJ45) with input and output sockets for daisy-chain configuration. RS232 (3.5mm minijack) enables third-party control integration. The channel selector switches between Left/Centre, Right, and L+R positions. Installation uses a rough-in box and frame; the grille is paintable to match any décor. At 16kg and 1230mm tall, professional installation is recommended.

Who Is It For?
The DSP750 is for large dedicated home cinema rooms and architectural installations where 120dB peak SPL and 30Hz bass extension are required from a flush-wall speaker. It suits installations where the DSP730 would be insufficient for the room size or output requirements. In array configurations with HPA, it scales to commercial-scale spaces without loss of coherence.
Buying from Martin's Hi-Fi
Martins Hi-Fi has a long-standing relationship with Meridian and extensive experience designing and installing high-performance architectural systems. At DSP750 level, system design and installation quality are inseparable from acoustic performance — rough-in position, wall construction, array geometry, and SpeakerLink configuration all contribute. We can advise on every aspect.
