Linn 150 Floorstanding Speakers
The Linn 150 is a modern, high-performance, compact 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker — passive in operation, but designed from the outset to work within the Linn ecosystem. Energetic and conspicuously refined, it is the kind of speaker that rewards serious listening without demanding a dedicated listening room to do it.
Drive Units
Three dedicated drive units handle the work. A 19.55 mm soft Sonomex dome tweeter covers the top end. A 160 mm Nextel-coated paper diaphragm midrange handles the critical vocal and instrumental frequencies. Bass duties fall to a 190 mm Nextel-coated paper diaphragm unit, loaded by dual down-firing ports in a 40-litre cabinet. Connections are via three pairs of binding posts.
Exakt Compatibility
The 150 is Exakt-compatible — connect it via a Linn Selekt DSM or an Exaktbox and the crossover moves from analogue to the digital domain, where it can be implemented with far greater precision. The analogue passive crossover handles duties in a conventional system, but Exakt takes the speaker into a different category of performance entirely. Room correction is also available when the 150 is used with a Linn Network Music Player, addressing the room's contribution to what you hear at the listening position.
Finishes and Dimensions
The 150 is available in Walnut, Oak, Satin Black, and Satin White — four finishes that give it genuine flexibility in a domestic setting. At 1000 mm tall and 234 mm wide, it is compact for a floorstander, and at 21.56 kg it is manageable to position and adjust.
