Fyne Audio F500S LCR Loudspeaker
The Fyne Audio F500S LCR is the centre channel component engineered to complete a matched IsoFlare front stage in any cinema system built around the F500S standmount, F501S, or F502S floorstanders. It is not a conventional centre channel speaker pressed into service alongside more capable mains — it is a 2.5-way loudspeaker built around the same 150mm IsoFlare driver with 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter as the F500S standmount, in a compact horizontal enclosure with Auxiliary Bass Radiator loading, available in the same three finishes as the S Series front speakers. It is sold as a single unit.
The LCR designation defines the design brief: this speaker is engineered to function equally well in the left, centre, and right positions. Running three F500S LCR units across the front of a cinema system delivers a fully matched IsoFlare front stage — the same 150mm point-source driver, the same magnesium dome tweeter, the same crossover frequencies, the same tonal character in all three positions. That consistency is what separates a properly designed cinema system from one that merely fills the room with sound.
IsoFlare Point-Source Driver Technology
The IsoFlare driver is the defining engineering decision in every Fyne Audio loudspeaker. It places the bass/midrange cone and the high-frequency compression tweeter on a shared axis — the tweeter fires from the centre of the cone — so both drivers radiate sound from a single point in space. This point-source geometry delivers consistent time alignment and isotropic dispersion wherever you are seated — a particular advantage in a centre channel application, where listeners spread across a wide angle relative to the screen must all hear coherent dialogue from the same speaker. Off-axis coherence is precisely where the IsoFlare design earns its place, and in a cinema context it is the quality that defines whether a front stage sounds designed or assembled.
In the F500S LCR, the IsoFlare driver is a 150mm multi-fibre cone unit with a 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter — the same driver specification as the F500S standmount. A second 150mm multi-fibre bass driver completes the driver complement alongside a 150mm Auxiliary Bass Radiator.
Auxiliary Bass Radiator
The Auxiliary Bass Radiator is a passive radiating cone — it has no voice coil or magnet, but is tuned to move in sympathy with the bass pressure inside the cabinet. It extends low-frequency output without a port tube, and in a centre channel application this matters practically: there is no port aperture to position clear of a rack, wall, or television cabinet. The ABR's behaviour is determined by its tuning and the cabinet volume, not by the speaker's proximity to surfaces — which makes close-to-wall and on-stand installation equally practical, without the tonal penalty that a rear-ported design would incur in the same position.
Matched Front Stage — The Case for Three LCR Units
A cinema system in which all three front channels use the same IsoFlare driver technology, the same crossover frequencies, and the same magnesium dome tweeter achieves a degree of front-stage continuity that no mix-and-match arrangement can replicate. The transition of dialogue, music, and sound effects from left to centre to right is seamless — not a close match between different drivers, but the same driver performing the same way in all three positions. The F500S LCR makes that configuration possible within the S Series at a price that is proportionate to the front speakers it accompanies. Three units across the front of a cinema system give a front stage of genuine technical integrity.
Practical Installation
The compact dimensions — 200 × 530 × 152mm — and three finish options in Black Oak, Natural Walnut, and Piano Gloss Black make the F500S LCR practical across a wide range of installation environments. It can be wall-mounted in the left and right positions or placed freestanding for the centre channel position beneath or above a screen.

Who Is It For?
The F500S LCR is for the buyer building a cinema system around the Fyne Audio F500S, Fyne Audio F501S, or Fyne Audio F502S who wants a properly matched centre channel using the same IsoFlare driver format and the same magnesium dome tweeter as the front speakers. The ABR loading and compact dimensions make it practical across a wide range of installation positions, and the three finish options allow a fully consistent aesthetic across the front stage.
Those building at a higher level within the SP range should consider the Fyne Audio F57SP-6 — the SP Series centre channel with adjustable ABR damping and Cryo-Lite crossover treatment. The Fyne Audio SuperTrax super tweeter is a natural complement to any S Series cinema system for extended high-frequency performance.
