Fyne Audio F502SP: Bespoke RAL Classic Colour Finish
The Fyne Audio F502SP is a mid-size floorstanding loudspeaker from the Special Production range — and in its bespoke RAL Classic colour finish, a UK-exclusive configuration available only through selected Fyne Audio dealers. It shares its driver architecture with the F702: a 200mm IsoFlare point-source driver with a 25mm magnesium compression tweeter and FyneFlute roll surround, a second 200mm bass driver, and a crossover specified to F700 Series standards — not the standard F500S crossover. The bespoke RAL Classic colour option opens the full RAL Classic palette to the customer's choice, finished to the same high-gloss standard as the Piano Gloss range. For a customer integrating a serious loudspeaker into a carefully considered interior, this is not a cosmetic detail — it is a meaningful and permanent distinction between a speaker that occupies a room and one that belongs in it.
The standard F502SP is available in Piano Gloss Black, Piano Gloss Walnut, and Piano Gloss White. The bespoke RAL option extends that to several hundred defined colours from the internationally recognised RAL Classic system — from understated neutrals to strongly saturated hues — all applied to the same high-gloss cabinet finishing process as the standard range. Lead times for bespoke colour finishes are longer than standard stock items; we will advise on current timescales when you enquire.
Driver Architecture and F700 Series Crossover Specification
The 200mm IsoFlare driver in the F502SP is the same unit used in the F702 — a rigid multi-fibre cone with FyneFlute roll surround and a 25mm magnesium compression tweeter with an HF wave guide pole piece. The HF wave guide pole piece controls the dispersion pattern of the compression tweeter's output as it couples into the IsoFlare cone, maintaining consistent frequency response across a wider listening angle than a conventional compression tweeter arrangement without a wave guide. The second 200mm driver handles the bass below 250Hz, crossing over to the IsoFlare unit at that frequency.
The crossover is drawn directly from the F700 Series — not the standard F500S crossover. This is a substantive rather than cosmetic distinction. The F700 Series crossover uses higher-specification components and a more sophisticated filter topology than the standard S Series design. In a speaker at this price and specification level, the crossover is as consequential as the driver — arguably more so, given that an excellent driver behind a compromised crossover will perform at the level of the crossover, not the level of the driver.
BassTrax Tractrix Diffuser
The downfiring port uses an aluminium sandwich plinth incorporating Fyne's BassTrax Tractrix profile bass diffuser — re-engineered specifically for the F502SP's cabinet dimensions rather than scaled from a larger design. The Tractrix profile maintains a consistent expansion angle as bass energy leaves the port, reducing reflections and smoothing the bass-to-room transition. The aluminium sandwich plinth adds mechanical rigidity at the base of the cabinet, which directly affects the definition and articulation of bass frequencies in the same way as in the F704SP.
The RAL Classic Colour Process
RAL Classic is the internationally recognised colour standard used across architecture, product design, and industrial finishing. The F502SP bespoke finish applies the full RAL Classic palette — several hundred defined colours — to the same high-gloss cabinet finishing process as the Piano Gloss standard range. The result is a speaker that can be matched to a specific paint colour, a piece of furniture, or an architectural finish with a precision that no standard manufacturer colour range can provide.
We can show RAL Classic colour swatches in our Norwich showroom and discuss how different colours read under different lighting conditions — a consideration that matters considerably when choosing a finish for a domestic installation, where the light changes across the day and between artificial and natural sources.

Who Is It For?
The F502SP in bespoke RAL finish is for the buyer who wants F700 Series driver and crossover specification in a mid-size floorstander — and who wants the speaker to integrate with their interior rather than contrast with it. The standard F502SP is already a strong performer at this level of the range; the RAL Classic option adds a dimension that no standard finish can provide, and one that is only available through selected dealers. It is a considered purchase for a considered room.
For those who want to understand where the F502SP sits within the SP range, the Fyne Audio F704SP is the SP Series flagship floorstander with twin 300mm drivers, and the Fyne Audio SuperTrax is a natural complement to the F502SP for those seeking extended high-frequency performance. The Fyne Audio F55E is worth considering for buyers at an earlier stage of the Fyne Audio range, and the Fyne Audio F5S is the S Series standmount for those whose room suits a compact format.
