Rega Aphelion 2
Everything in the Aphelion 2 is engineered to the tightest tolerances Rega can achieve: a boron rod cantilever, a fine line nude diamond stylus, an iron micro cross and coil assembly that Rega describe as one of the world's smallest low mass MC generators, and a graded zero tolerance anodised aluminium body. Output is 350μV nominal, and the recommended input load impedance is 100Ω. It is made in England.

Boron Rod Cantilever
The cantilever is a boron rod — a material chosen for its exceptional stiffness relative to its mass.
Fine Line Nude Diamond Stylus
The stylus is a fine line type profile nude diamond — nude meaning the diamond is bonded directly to the cantilever rather than mounted on a metal shank, keeping the moving mass as low as possible.
Graded Zero Tolerance Anodised Aluminium Body
The body is a graded zero tolerance anodised aluminium construction — a description that reflects the precision with which each body is selected and finished.

Who Is It For?
The Aphelion 2 is for the serious vinyl enthusiast who has built — or is building — a high-specification front end. The 350μV output requires a high-gain MC phono stage — the gain setting should be in the high ('On') position on Rega phono stages.
