By ensuring that low, mid, and high frequencies all radiate from a single acoustic point, KEF eliminates the timing inconsistencies that afflict conventional multi-driver loudspeakers — the result is an image of extraordinary precision, with every element of the recording locked in place across the full bandwidth.

12th Generation Uni-Q with Metamaterial Absorption Technology

The 12th Generation Uni-Q Driver Array acts as a true point source, expanding the listening sweet spot so that the same natural, detailed sound is available throughout the room rather than only at a single chair. Mounted at the centre of the Uni-Q, a 19 mm vented aluminium dome tweeter benefits from Metamaterial Absorption Technology — a highly complex maze-like structure that absorbs 99% of unwanted sound from the rear of the driver. The audible effect is a dramatic reduction in coloration and distortion, leaving the upper frequencies as clean as the recording itself.

KEF's Uni-Core technology allows four 135 mm bass drivers to be mounted in two back-to-back force-cancelling pairs within the LS60's slender enclosure, practically eliminating cabinet vibration while maintaining the kind of low-frequency authority that the speaker's silhouette gives no reason to expect. The Music Integrity Engine — a proprietary DSP suite precisely tuned to KEF's own algorithms — coordinates every element of the driver array, with low-frequency phase correction that ensures timing is resolved to a level that rewards serious listening.

W2 Wireless Platform — Everything, From Everywhere

The W2 wireless streaming platform provides Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Bluetooth, and Roon Ready operation, alongside direct network streaming via Wi-Fi or a wired Ethernet connection. The KEF Connect app gives access to Amazon Music, Qobuz, Deezer, Internet Radio, and Podcasts; Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and QPlay are supported natively. For those who prefer a physical connection, the primary speaker carries HDMI eARC, TOSLINK optical, coaxial digital, and analogue RCA inputs. The interspeaker link runs wirelessly at up to 24bit/96kHz or, with the supplied Ethernet cable, at up to 24bit/192kHz — the network input accepts sources up to 24bit/384kHz, with full DSD and MQA decoding on board.
