Innuos NazaréFLOW

The NazaréFLOW addresses a problem that exists at the boundary between server and DAC — a boundary where timing errors accumulate, where multiple independent clocks compete, and where the precision of everything upstream can be undone in the final metre of signal path. Innuos designed the NazaréFLOW as a dedicated reclocker and output stage, a component whose sole purpose is to ensure that what leaves the server arrives at the DAC with the lowest possible phase noise and the highest possible timing accuracy.

Master Reclocker Circuit

The core of the NazaréFLOW is its Master Reclocker Circuit. In a conventional digital audio chain, each device in the path — server, switch, reclocker, DAC — operates from its own independent clock, and phase noise accumulates across every handoff. The NazaréFLOW resolves this by becoming the single timing reference for the entire communication path, using an ultra-high precision OCXO clock on its own dedicated power rail. The result is a USB output where timing is governed by one reference, not many.

DAC Connection Modules

The NazaréFLOW's modular design allows it to go further than USB reclocking alone. Optional DAC Connection Modules leverage the native protocols of specific DAC manufacturers, moving beyond the limitations of the USB interface entirely. The FLOW ProISL module connects to MSB DACs using MSB's own ProISL protocol; the FLOW CH-Link module connects to CH Precision DACs via the CH Link protocol. In both cases, the Master Reclocker serves as the master clock for PCM and DSD communication, while the DAC contributes its own master clocks for the audio itself — a genuine collaboration between the two components rather than a simple handoff.

NAZARÉ PSU Architecture

The power supply in the NazaréFLOW is the most advanced Innuos have produced. Separate, low-noise power rails are provided for the clocks, reclocker circuit, and output boards independently. Regulation is handled by advanced DC4 modules co-developed with Dr. Sean Jacobs, incorporating high-precision foil resistors for low-impedance, ultra-low-noise output. The same DC4 modules appear in the Nazaré server — the NazaréFLOW is not a simplified companion piece but an equal participant in the same engineering programme.

SmartStack Vibration Control and Chassis

The chassis is CNC-machined from 10 mm aluminium. The asymmetric fascia is not a styling choice — it is designed to break up standing waves and reduce resonance within the enclosure. SmartStack vibration control, developed in collaboration with TONEO, is applied across all critical components: transformers, capacitors, regulation modules, and output boards. System-tuned IsoAcoustics isolation feet are fitted as standard, completing a mechanical isolation approach that matches the ambition of the electrical design.

The NazaréFLOW in a System Context

The NazaréFLOW sits naturally at the end of a chain built around the Innuos Nazaré server, and the two together form Innuos' most complete statement of what a digital source can be. It is also compatible with the Innuos NazaréNET network switch, which addresses the network layer with the same philosophy applied here to the output stage. For listeners building around other Innuos servers — including the Innuos Next-Gen FLOW — the reclocker architecture scales across the range.

Who Is It For?

The NazaréFLOW is for the listener who already has a serious digital source and wants to know what the output stage is actually capable of — or for anyone specifying a reference system from scratch where the signal path from server to DAC is treated as a single engineered whole. It is particularly relevant for owners of MSB or CH Precision DACs, where the optional Connection Modules allow a level of integration unavailable through any other route. It assumes a system resolving enough to communicate what it does.
