Innuos Nazaré

The Nazaré sits at the absolute summit of what Innuos make. It is a statement of intent — a music server that treats every aspect of its design, from power supply architecture to chassis geometry, as a variable worth optimising in the pursuit of lower noise and greater musical resolution. There is nothing quite like it at this level.

PreciseAudio — Built From the Ground Up

The foundation is PreciseAudio: a deeply tuned mainboard with two dedicated daughter boards — PreciseUSB and PreciseNET — each with its own independent clock and power rail, connected directly to the CPU rather than routed through the conventional mainboard. The logic is straightforward: every unnecessary circuit in the signal path adds noise, so Innuos removed them. AudioCore takes this further by allocating physical CPU cores exclusively to audio processes — a 10-performance-core processor runs the server, with cores divided between audio tasks and everything else, keeping the two entirely separate.

Power Supply — GaN-ARC8 and DC4

The power supply is where the Nazaré becomes genuinely extraordinary. Innuos developed the GaN-ARC8 modules in collaboration with Dr. Sean Jacobs — gallium nitride-based active rectification with 376,000 µF capacitance per module, two modules fitted as standard, totalling 752,000 µF. Paired with DC4 regulation modules (also co-developed with Dr. Jacobs, incorporating low-noise foil resistors) and the upgraded NGaN+ gallium nitride regulator, the supply is among the most sophisticated fitted to any audio component. High-precision multifilar toroidal transformers and custom-made Lundahl inductors complete the architecture.

Chassis and Vibration Control

The enclosure is full aluminium, CNC-machined to 10 mm thickness and finished in an eco-friendly ceramic coating. The asymmetric fascia and cover are not aesthetic decisions — they are designed to dissipate standing waves and reduce structural resonance. SmartStack vibration dampening, developed in collaboration with TONEO, is applied across the PreciseAudio boards, toroidal transformers, inductors, capacitor banks, and regulators. The isolation feet are system-tuned in partnership with IsoAcoustics. The Nazaré weighs just over 40 kg — a figure that reflects the seriousness of the build rather than any incidental bulk.

NazaréFLOW and NazaréNET

The Nazaré is designed to work as a system. The Innuos NazaréFLOW is a dedicated high-performance output stage with a high-precision USB reclocker, on-board I²S output conversion, and an ultra-high precision OCXO master clock on its own dedicated power rail. Optional DAC Connection Modules extend compatibility further: the FLOW ProISL module supports MSB DACs using MSB's ProISL protocol, and the FLOW CH-Link module supports CH Precision DACs via the CH Link protocol. The Innuos NazaréNET is a companion audiophile network switch, offering four Gigabit Ethernet ports, one SFP single-mode fibre port (1310 nm, up to 10 km, using a high-end Finisar module), and the same philosophy of independent clocking and power applied to the network domain.

Innuos Sense

Software is Innuos Sense — developed entirely in-house. It unifies local library playback, CD ripping, streaming services (Qobuz, TIDAL, Deezer, HighResAudio, IDAGIO, with Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and Qobuz Connect also supported), Internet Radio, and Podcasts including Radio Paradise FLAC. Roon Core and Endpoint modes are supported, as is HQPlayer NAA Endpoint and AssetUPnP server. The Sense app runs on iPadOS/iOS 16.6 or later, Android 7 or later, Amazon Fire OS 7 or later, and any web browser via my.innuos.com.

Who Is It For?

The Nazaré is for the listener who has already explored what serious streaming can do and wants to know how far that road actually goes. It demands an equally resolving system around it — a DAC, amplification and speakers capable of communicating what it retrieves. If you are building or refining a reference-level system and the source is the priority, this is where the conversation ends.
