Fyne Audio F5E LCR Centre Channel Speaker
The Fyne Audio F5E LCR is the entry point into IsoFlare centre channel performance — a compact, horizontally configured loudspeaker built around the same 125mm IsoFlare point-source driver as the F5E standmount, and designed to function equally as a left, centre, or right speaker. At £299.99 per unit in Black Ash vinyl, it is the most affordable way to build a fully matched IsoFlare front stage — and the honest, technically coherent companion to the F5E standmount in a home cinema system.
The LCR designation is not incidental. Running three F5E LCR units across the front of a cinema system — left, centre, and right — gives a front stage where every channel uses the same IsoFlare driver technology, the same crossover topology, and the same tonal character. In a conventional cinema system, the centre channel is almost always the weak link: a different driver, a different cabinet, a different timbre from the mains. The F5E LCR eliminates that compromise entirely.
IsoFlare Point-Source Driver Technology
The central engineering decision in the F5E LCR is the same one that defines every loudspeaker Fyne Audio makes: the IsoFlare driver. A 125mm multi-fibre cone with a FyneFlute roll surround carries a 19mm titanium dome compression tweeter at its centre — both drivers sharing a single axis, radiating sound from precisely the same point in space. In a centre channel application, this matters more than in any other position. Most seating arrangements spread listeners across a wide angle relative to the screen, and the dialogue that carries the emotional weight of any cinema soundtrack must remain coherent from every seat. IsoFlare's point-source geometry delivers consistent off-axis performance that no conventional tweeter-above-bass arrangement can match — the response heard from the side seats is the same response heard from the centre.
The F5E LCR uses the same IsoFlare driver family as the F5E standmount. This tonal match is the foundation of the matched front stage — not a marketing claim, but a direct consequence of using the same drivers in the same crossover topology across all three positions.
Auxiliary Bass Radiator
Low-frequency loading in the F5E LCR is handled by a 125mm Auxiliary Bass Radiator — a passive cone with no voice coil or magnet, tuned to move in sympathy with the internal cabinet pressure. The ABR extends low-frequency output without a port tube, which matters practically: there is no port aperture to position clear of a wall, rack, or television cabinet. In a centre channel, where placement is almost always dictated by the room and the furniture rather than acoustic ideals, the ABR's freedom from placement constraints is a genuine advantage. The ABR in the F5E LCR is electromagnetically damped, and the 2.5-way configuration — IsoFlare driver, dedicated 125mm bass driver, and ABR — gives a bass extension of 65Hz from a compact horizontal enclosure of just 440mm width.
LCR Configuration and Mounting
The F5E LCR is designed for wall installation in left and right positions via its integrated mounting brackets, and for freestanding placement in the centre position. Three units across the front of a cinema system give the fully matched IsoFlare front stage that the LCR designation is built around. Running a single unit as the centre channel alongside F5E standmounts works equally well — the matched driver family ensures tonal consistency across the front stage regardless of configuration.
Crossover
The crossover divides at 350Hz and 1.8kHz. The filter topology is 2nd order low-pass and 1st order high-pass. The 350Hz lower crossover point reflects the 2.5-way configuration: the dedicated bass driver crosses in below the IsoFlare unit at that frequency, allowing the IsoFlare driver to operate across a more focused band.

Who Is It For?
The F5E LCR is for the buyer building a matched IsoFlare home cinema system around the F5E standmount, or for anyone who wants a technically coherent centre channel at the most accessible price in the Fyne Audio range. The 88dB sensitivity and 8Ω impedance are well suited to AV receivers at moderate power levels; the compact 440mm width and integrated mounting brackets make installation straightforward in a variety of room configurations.
For those who want the same matched front stage principle at a higher performance level, the Fyne Audio F502E LCR uses a 200mm IsoFlare driver and suits pairing with the F501E floorstanders. Those stepping further into the Fyne Audio range should consider the Fyne Audio F55E as a more capable standmount alternative, or the Fyne Audio Vintage Five for a heritage aesthetic alongside their cinema system. The Fyne Audio F704SP represents the SP flagship for those whose ambitions extend beyond the E series entirely.
