Fyne Audio F502E LCR Centre Channel Speaker
The Fyne Audio F502E LCR is the centre channel speaker designed to complete a matched IsoFlare front stage alongside the F501E floorstanders — and it is a more capable proposition than the designation "entry-level centre channel" implies. Built around a 200mm IsoFlare point-source driver — larger than the 150mm unit in the F501E mains — the F502E LCR delivers 92dB sensitivity and 48Hz bass extension from a horizontal enclosure that supports both freestanding and wall-mounted installation. It is sold individually.
The LCR designation matters here. This speaker is not designed solely for the centre position — it is engineered to work equally in left, centre, and right positions, which means three F502E LCR units across the front of a cinema system deliver a completely matched IsoFlare front stage: the same driver technology, the same crossover frequencies, the same timbre in all three positions. That consistency is what separates a properly designed cinema system from one that merely fills the room with sound.
IsoFlare Point-Source Driver Technology
At the heart of the F502E LCR is a 200mm IsoFlare driver — a multi-fibre cone bass/midrange unit with a 25mm titanium dome compression tweeter mounted at its centre, both radiating from precisely the same point in space. This point-source geometry delivers consistent time alignment and isotropic dispersion across the entire seating area — a particular advantage in a centre channel application, where listeners are spread across a wide angle relative to the speaker. Off-axis coherence is where the IsoFlare design earns its place: the frequency response you hear from the side seats is the same frequency response you hear from the centre, and the dialogue that drives the emotional content of any cinema soundtrack is anchored accordingly.
The 200mm cone is meaningfully larger than the 150mm driver in the F501E mains. The greater radiating area supports the higher 92dB sensitivity figure — 2dB above the F501E — and gives the F502E LCR the dynamic headroom to balance naturally with a pair of floorstanders without the AV receiver's channel level compensation doing compensatory work. A second 200mm bass driver is mounted alongside the IsoFlare unit in the 2.5-way configuration, crossing over at 250Hz.
Auxiliary Bass Radiator
Low-frequency loading in the F502E LCR is handled by a 200mm Auxiliary Bass Radiator — a passive radiating cone with no voice coil or magnet, tuned to move in sympathy with the bass pressure inside the cabinet. The ABR extends low-frequency output without a port tube, which eliminates the placement constraints of a rear-ported design: there is no port aperture to keep clear of a wall, equipment rack, or television cabinet. In a centre channel application, where placement options are almost always dictated by the room rather than acoustic ideals, this is a genuinely practical advantage. The ABR in the F502E LCR is electromagnetically damped and calibrated to the cabinet volume and IsoFlare driver tuning — bass extension reaches 48Hz, which is sufficient for music and the majority of cinema soundtrack content without a dedicated subwoofer.
LCR Configuration
Three F502E LCR units across the front of a cinema system — left, centre, right — give a front stage that is acoustically consistent in a way that no mix-and-match arrangement of conventional drivers can replicate. Where a conventional centre channel speaker uses a different driver topology from the main speakers, the transition of dialogue, music, and sound effects across the front soundstage is always a compromise. With matched IsoFlare drivers in all three positions, that transition is seamless. Wall mounting is supported for the left and right positions; the speaker stands freely for the centre position below or above a screen.
Crossover
The crossover divides at 250Hz and 1.7kHz — 2nd order low-pass on the bass section, 1st order high-pass on the tweeter — in a passive configuration consistent with the F501E mains.

Who Is It For?
The F502E LCR is the natural centre channel choice for anyone building a home cinema system around the F501E floorstanders. The 92dB sensitivity and 8Ω impedance are well suited to AV receivers; the ABR bass loading means placement is less critical than with a ported design; and wall mounting is supported for left and right positions. For the buyer who wants to run three matched IsoFlare speakers across the front stage, three F502E LCR units give exactly that.
Those stepping up within the Fyne Audio range should consider the Fyne Audio F704SP as the SP flagship floorstander, or the Fyne Audio F5S for a more capable standmount. The Fyne Audio Vintage Five is worth considering for buyers who prefer a heritage aesthetic for their front speakers, and the Fyne Audio F55E offers a step up in standmount performance for those building a two-channel system alongside their cinema setup.
