The Entreq Micro Kit Tungsten is an entry-level ground box based on the Entreq Primer model. It comes bundled with a ground cable featuring a 3.5mm jack and a click-on RCA adaptor, making it straightforward to connect to a desktop system, monitor, or TV. The principle is simple: connect it to one component and let it drain interference away from the signal path. The difference it makes is the kind of thing that is easier to hear than to explain — which is why we recommend a demonstration before committing.
How It Works
Entreq ground boxes work by providing an alternative path for high-frequency noise and interference to drain away from your audio components. The Micro Kit is designed to ground a single component with an effective mass of up to 6kg — though Entreq note it will still have a positive effect on larger components beyond that guide. It is not a replacement for protective grounding and must not be used as such.
The Tungsten version uses Entreq's mineral mix — a proprietary blend of materials housed in an oak enclosure — to absorb and dissipate the noise that would otherwise colour the sound of your system. The included cable terminates in a 3.5mm jack with a click-on RCA adaptor, covering the most common connection points on desktop and entry-level equipment.
Made for Desktop and Entry-Level Systems
The Micro Kit is the starting point in the Entreq range. If you are curious about what grounding can do for your system but are not ready to invest in a larger box such as the Entreq Protectus or the Entreq Pluton, this is the sensible place to begin. It also pairs naturally with the Entreq VIBBEATER, which addresses vibration — a separate but related source of interference in any system.

The Micro Kit Tungsten suits anyone with a desktop audio setup, a streaming system built around a television or monitor, or an entry-level hi-fi system where noise reduction has not yet been addressed. It is a single-component solution — if you have a more complex system with multiple sources, the Entreq Pluton or Entreq Olympus Hero would be better suited. As with all Entreq products, we recommend discussing your system with us before purchasing.
