Cyrus Audio 80 AMP

Cyrus Audio 80 AMP

The 80 AMP is Cyrus at full scale — the first full-width integrated streaming amplifier from a company that built its reputation on half-width precision. Where the compact format has always been Cyrus's signature, the 80 Series exists for listeners who want that same engineering rigour with greater headroom, more presence, and the authority to drive any speaker in the room. This is the all-in-one Cyrus that serious listeners have been waiting for.

BluOS and Streaming

The award-winning BluOS platform is built in, giving you instant access to music services, internet radio, podcasts, and your personal library over your home network. Setup is straightforward — the companion app runs on iOS, Android, Kindle, Mac or PC — and the system supports Apple AirPlay 2, Roon Ready certification, and MQA decoding as standard. High-resolution playback runs to 24-bit/192kHz. A full-colour 5" TFT display sits at the front, and a built-in WiFi antenna means the 80 AMP connects wirelessly without compromise.

DAC and Amplification

At its core is the ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M 32-bit DAC, running Cyrus's own customised board layout built around HyperStream IV Dual DAC technology — the aim being to extract the highest possible performance from the chipset rather than use it off the shelf. The amplifier section delivers 150 watts per channel in Class A/B, with the full-width chassis giving Cyrus's engineers the physical space to deliver the power supply headroom that compact formats simply cannot match.

Connectivity

The 80 AMP is comprehensively equipped. Analogue inputs number four, plus an MM/MC phono stage for vinyl. Digital inputs include two optical, two coaxial, one asynchronous USB-B, and one HDMI eARC — covering virtually every source a modern system demands. A single analogue preamplifier output allows the 80 AMP to anchor a larger separates system should your ambitions grow.

Technical Specifications

Who Is It For?

The 80 AMP suits the listener who wants one box to do everything properly — streaming, amplification, vinyl, headphones — without a trail of cables between separates. It's particularly well suited to those upgrading from a compact system who want the same Cyrus engineering discipline at a larger scale, or to those building a new system and wanting room to grow: the balanced outputs and preamp out mean the 80 AMP can anchor a more elaborate setup over time. If you're considering separate power amplification from the outset, the 80 PRE and 80 PWR separates share the same platform and complement it directly.
