Innuos PULSE Mini Streamer – Black | Ex-Demonstration

This is a single ex-demonstration Innuos PULSE Mini in black, offered at a clearance price. The PULSE Mini is a compact network streamer with a built-in DAC — a complete streaming front end that needs only an amplifier and speakers to make a system. It has been discontinued and replaced in the current range by the STREAM1, but it remains a very capable streamer, and at ex-demonstration money it is a genuine bargain into the Innuos Sense platform. Being an ex-demonstration unit, it has been used in our showroom rather than owned; it is in full working order and comes ready to set up. Because it is a single unit, once it has gone, it has gone.

What It Does

The PULSE Mini streams from Qobuz, Tidal, HighResAudio, Deezer, Radio Paradise and internet radio, all managed through the Innuos Sense app on a phone or tablet. Its internal DAC — a TI PCM5102 — feeds an RCA analogue output, so it can go straight into an amplifier. Alternatively, its coaxial and optical SPDIF outputs (up to 24-bit/192kHz) or its USB output can feed a separate DAC. Over USB it handles PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD up to DSD512 native, so it will grow with a better external DAC later.

Who Is It For?

This ex-demonstration PULSE Mini is for someone who wants an easy, well-made way into proper streaming and the Sense platform without paying full current-range prices — either straight into an amplifier via its own DAC, or as a streaming transport into a better DAC you already own. If you would rather have the current model with its newer platform and upgrade path, the STREAM1 is the one to look at. But as a one-off clearance unit, this is a lot of streamer for the money.
