Bowers & Wilkins CT700 Series

The Bowers & Wilkins CT700 Series represents the most accessible entry point into genuine B&W custom installation performance — an architecturally discreet loudspeaker range that incorporates the same core technologies found in Bowers & Wilkins' acclaimed home hi-fi speakers, engineered specifically for in-wall and in-ceiling installation. Kevlar® cone drive units, Nautilus™ tube-loaded tweeters and precisely matched timbral characteristics across every model in the range combine to deliver cinema sound of extraordinary realism and immersion — sound that transforms domestic spaces into genuinely cinematic environments without compromise or visible intrusion.

Martins Hi-Fi is the second oldest Bowers & Wilkins dealer in the world, and the CT700 Series represents a range we know intimately and recommend with complete confidence.

Kevlar® Cone Technology

Every CT700 Series drive unit employs Bowers & Wilkins' signature Kevlar® cone material — the same woven yellow Kevlar® that defines the sound of B&W's reference hi-fi speakers. Kevlar® combines exceptional stiffness with outstanding internal damping, eliminating the resonances and coloration that compromise lesser installation speakers. The result is midrange reproduction of extraordinary clarity and neutrality — voices, instruments and cinematic effects are reproduced with a precision and naturalness that reveals everything the original recording contains.

Nautilus™ Tube-Loaded Tweeters

The CT700 Series tweeters draw directly from B&W's legendary Nautilus™ technology — a tapered tube loaded behind each tweeter that absorbs rear wave energy completely, eliminating the unwanted resonances that colour treble reproduction in conventional designs. High frequencies arrive with exceptional clarity, air and extension, free from the harshness and fatigue that characterise lesser tweeters. The Nautilus™ tube loading is a defining characteristic of Bowers & Wilkins' sound, and its presence in the CT700 Series at this price level is a remarkable achievement.

Precisely Matched Timbre Across the Range

Every CT700 Series model — from the CT7.5 to the largest LCR configuration — is rigorously engineered to match the timbral and dynamic characteristics of every other. This consistency is fundamental to home cinema performance: a system built from any combination of CT700 models will deliver seamless, coherent sound across all channels, with no tonal discontinuity as effects and dialogue move between speakers. This is the hallmark of a professionally designed installation range, not a collection of disparate products assembled under one name.

Adaptable System Configurations

The CT700 Series offers exceptional configuration flexibility — whether your project demands a discreet two-channel music system, a full multi-channel home cinema or a complex whole-home audio installation. Models are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to suit rooms of any scale, with paintable grilles ensuring seamless aesthetic integration into finished interiors.

Who Is It For?

The CT700 Series is the natural choice for architects, interior designers and homeowners who demand reference-quality audio performance without visible speaker intrusion. It suits new build projects, renovation schemes and any listening environment where architectural discretion and acoustic excellence must coexist without compromise.
