The Arcam A50 Signature is a dual-mono, Class G integrated amplifier created to mark 50 years of Arcam amplification expertise. Designed in Cambridge, UK, it is the most technically ambitious integrated amplifier Arcam have ever produced — and by their own measure, the best-sounding. Built around a new and more advanced implementation of Arcam's Class G topology, the A50 Signature sets a new reference point for what a British integrated amplifier can achieve.

Dual-Mono Class G Architecture

The A50 Signature is Arcam's first dual-mono Class G integrated amplifier. Each channel is a fully self-contained module with independent transformer windings, dedicated power regulation, reservoir capacitors, a Class G lifter stage, and its own output-stage heatsink. This architecture delivers exceptional channel separation, a vanishingly low noise floor, and a dynamic capability that transforms the listening experience — the A50 Signature does not merely play music loudly, it resolves the full scale of a recording with effortless authority. Power output is 150W per channel into 8Ω, rising to 220W into 4Ω, ensuring the A50 Signature drives loudspeakers of virtually any impedance without compromise.

ESS ES9039Q2M DAC

Digital conversion is handled by the ESS ES9039Q2M DAC — a new design that preserves signal integrity from source to output stage. USB-C input supports sample rates up to 384kHz and 32-bit depth. HDMI eARC allows direct connection to a television, bringing the A50 Signature's audiophile-grade DAC to bear on streaming services, broadcast audio, and home cinema. Signal-to-noise ratio from digital sources is 109dB — a figure that sets a new standard for integrated amplifiers at any price.

Class A MM & MC Phono Stage

The A50 Signature includes a newly designed Class A phono stage accepting both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. Input impedance is 47kΩ with 100pF capacitance, and frequency response tracks the RIAA curve to within ±1dB from 20Hz to 20kHz. Vinyl replay on the A50 Signature is not an afterthought — it is a serious proposition for any turntable and cartridge combination.

Wireless Audio — Snapdragon Sound and Auracast

Bluetooth 5.4 is built in, supporting SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Lossless, LE Audio and Auracast. Snapdragon Sound certification ensures the highest possible wireless audio quality, whether streaming from a smartphone or transmitting to wireless headphones. Auracast support allows the A50 Signature to broadcast audio to multiple Bluetooth receivers simultaneously — a capability that redefines the possibilities of wireless listening in the home.

Headphone Output

A dedicated headphone output delivers up to 2.5V RMS into 32Ω and 5V RMS into 300Ω, covering a load range of 16Ω to 2kΩ. Wired or wireless headphones can be used without compromise — the A50 Signature does not treat headphone listening as secondary.
