Collection: JVC Projectors

JVC have been making D-ILA projectors for serious home cinema since the late 1990s, and the technology they developed in that time has become the benchmark against which other projection systems are measured. D-ILA — Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier — is JVC's proprietary reflective LCD technology, and it remains the reason their projectors produce the kind of black levels and contrast that competing technologies struggle to match.

The current NZ laser series represents the full maturity of that work. From the NZ500 entry point through to the NZ9 flagship, every model in the range uses a native 4K D-ILA panel — not pixel-shifted 4K, but true native resolution — combined with a laser light source that delivers consistent, calibrated brightness without the lamp degradation that affects older projection technology. The e-ShiftX processing system, available on the NZ700 and above, takes that native 4K signal and extracts additional resolution information to produce an 8K-equivalent image on screen.

At the top of the range, the NZ800BE and NZ900BE bring the full capability of JVC's laser D-ILA technology to bear without compromise. These are projectors built for dedicated cinema rooms and serious enthusiasts — and they perform accordingly.
