Home Cinema Beyond the Soundbar — Open Day, 5th November
"Do I really need to spend that much?" It's the question we hear most often when someone walks in having lived with a soundbar for five years. The honest answer is: come and listen, then decide.
No appointments, no set times — just three very different cinema systems running a curated playlist all day, and Karl Brett, Kaleidescape's brand ambassador, here to demonstrate what the new Strato K movie player is capable of. Come for an hour or stay for the afternoon.
Three Systems, Three Different Arguments
The point of running three systems side by side is that there is no single answer to home cinema. What works in a snug is not what works in a living room, and what works in a living room is not what a dedicated theatre can do. We've set up each room to make its own case.
The Media Wall System — One Room, No Compromise
This is the system most people are actually looking for: a living room or snug solution that keeps the television but leaves the soundbar behind entirely. The rear ceiling positions use Gallo A-Divai speakers, and two REL HT1510 Predator subwoofers sit out of sight. The whole thing runs Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 through the new Arcam Radia AVA35 AV amplifier — its first public showing — with a Control4 Halo remote, Panasonic 4K Blu-ray, and Vicoustic acoustic panels built into the media wall itself.
The system is hidden. The experience is not.
The Snug Home Cinema — The Pinnacle
We have been Meridian dealers since the company was still Boothroyd Stuart. This is a dedicated theatre — Dolby Atmos 5.2.4, a 4K Sony projector, Trinnov processing, and a Kaleidescape source. If you have ever wondered what a properly conceived, properly installed home cinema actually sounds and looks like, this is the room that answers the question.
You can see everything in the Snug Home Cinema collection — and the room itself has its own page if you want to read more before you visit.
The Downstairs Cinema Room — Accessible and Honest
Not every system needs to cost a fortune, and this room makes no pretence otherwise. A Dolby Digital 5.1 setup built around the Fyne Audio F500e Series — Fyne Audio F501e towers at the front, F502e centre, F5e surrounds — with three REL HT1205 Mk2 subwoofers and an Anthem MRX Slim 4K AV receiver driving the lot. A 77-inch screen completes it. It won't be to everyone's taste — that's partly the point. Knowing where the ceiling is helps you understand what the rooms above it are doing differently.
Come and Hear It
No appointment needed — walk in, tell us what you have at home, and we'll show you what's possible. Dave and Chris will be here all day alongside Karl Brett from Kaleidescape, and between us we can talk through every level of the system, from a straightforward upgrade to a full dedicated installation.
