The PMC cor is a statement from a loudspeaker company that decided to build an amplifier — and then refused to cut a single corner in doing so. A Purist's Analogue Architecture

The cor operates entirely within the analogue domain. There are no digital inputs, no DAC, no streaming stage — a deliberate decision that will suit the serious listener who has already committed to a high-quality source and wants nothing in the signal path that does not belong there. Four single-ended RCA inputs and one balanced XLR input cover the majority of source configurations, whilst a set of direct inputs bypass the preamplifier stage entirely and connect straight to the power amplifier — a provision for those who wish to integrate a dedicated preamplifier or processor without compromise. A preamp output adds further system flexibility.

Control With Professional Credentials

Every component in the cor was selected after extensive listening tests rather than on specification alone. The volume control, tone controls, and balance faders are motorised using technology drawn directly from professional mixing consoles — the same engineering that governs signal management in recording studios. All are fully remote controllable, giving the listener precise adjustment of level, tone, and balance from the listening position without interrupting the music. The tone controls offer ±10dB of adjustment, a practical tool rather than an afterthought, and one that acknowledges that rooms and recordings are not always perfect.

The cor is for the listener who has no interest in a Swiss-army-knife integrated — who already owns or intends to own a serious analogue source, and wants an amplifier that will stay completely out of the way of the music.
