Personalise Your Sondek LP12

The Sondek LP12 has been in continuous production since 1972, and in that time it has become one of the most recognised turntables ever made — not because it has remained unchanged, but because Linn have continued to refine it without abandoning the mechanical principles that make it exceptional. Personalisation takes that idea a step further. Linn now offer two programmes that allow the LP12 to be specified in any colour finish and monogrammed with up to four laser-etched letters on the armboard. The result is a turntable that is not merely engineered to a standard very few products ever reach — it is permanently and specifically yours.

Any Colour, Any Finish

The colour of the plinth can be drawn from any source: a favourite album sleeve, an existing piece of furniture, a precise paint reference, or simply a shade that feels right. Linn hand-craft the finish to match, and the surface quality is consistent with the standard of manufacture that defines every LP12. For those who prefer a more traditional look but want a richer result, the full range of standard wood veneers is now also available in high gloss, alongside Piano Black and High Gloss White as dedicated options within the core range. If your system includes Linn loudspeakers, they too can be finished in a matching colour — producing a visually unified system that no standard finish palette from any other manufacturer can replicate.

Monogramming

Linn offer precision laser-etching of up to four letters on the armboard. This is not a label or a print — the monogram is cut into the surface of the component itself, and it is as permanent as the turntable. On a product that is routinely serviced, upgraded, and handed between owners across decades, a monogram is a statement of ownership that no subsequent modification removes.

How to Order

At Martins Hi-Fi, we manage the personalisation order process on your behalf. A custom colour finish is not reversible, so we take care to confirm every detail of the specification before it is committed to production.
