Naim Uniti Nova PE All-in-One Streaming Amplifier
The Uniti Nova PE (Power Edition) is a higher-power variant of the Naim Uniti Nova, designed for listeners who need more amplification than the standard Nova's 80W provides — for demanding loudspeakers, for larger rooms, or for those who simply want more dynamic headroom. It delivers 150W per channel into 8Ω via a Class-D amplifier stage, in the same form factor as the standard Nova. The streaming platform, analogue inputs, and connectivity remain identical to the standard model.
The Nova PE is notably heavier than the standard Nova at 15.1kg — the result of more substantial internal amplification. The increased height (116mm versus 95mm) accommodates the upgraded output stage. It is a product that looks conservative from the outside while offering substantially more power within.
Streaming Platform
The streaming platform is identical to the standard Uniti Nova: AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Chromecast, TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify Connect, Roon Ready, UPnP, and internet radio. Audio formats include WAV at 32bit/384kHz, FLAC and AIFF at 24bit/384kHz, ALAC at 24bit/384kHz, and DSD 64 and 128Fs. Multiroom is supported via Party Mode for up to six devices simultaneously. Control is via the Focal and Naim app for iOS and Android.
Amplification
The Nova PE uses Class-D amplification to achieve 150W per channel into 8Ω. This is a significant increase over the standard Nova's 80W Class-AB output — the difference matters when driving loudspeakers with lower sensitivity or complex impedance, or when the room demands more energy to fill convincingly. Into 4Ω, output rises further, making the Nova PE suitable for a wider range of loudspeaker choices.
Inputs
Analogue inputs are two 5-pin DIN and two RCA stereo pairs. Digital inputs are two optical TOSLink (24bit/96kHz), one coaxial RCA (24bit/192kHz, DoP 64Fs), one coaxial BNC (24bit/192kHz, DoP 64Fs), and HDMI ARC. USB handles audio playback from attached storage at 44.1–384kHz (16–24bit).
Outputs
Speaker outputs are driven directly by the internal Class-D amplifier. Pre-amplifier outputs are provided via a 4-pin DIN and an RCA pair for connection to an external power amplifier. A 3.5mm headphone jack is on the front panel.

Who Is It For?
The Nova PE suits listeners who have chosen loudspeakers that the standard Nova's 80W cannot fully drive — either because they are particularly inefficient, or because the room is large enough to need more energy at listening levels. It also suits those who have already heard the standard Nova and found themselves wanting more power in reserve. The streaming platform, sources, and outputs are identical to the standard model, so the Nova PE is purely about amplification capacity.
If you are unsure whether the standard Uniti Nova or the Nova PE is right for your loudspeakers and room, that is exactly the kind of question to ask us before buying.
Buying from Martins Hi-Fi
The Nova PE is the more powerful option in the Uniti range, and choosing between it and the standard Nova depends on your loudspeakers and room. We have the Uniti Nova on demonstration in our Norwich showroom and can advise on whether the extra power of the PE is relevant for your setup. Martins Hi-Fi has been selling hi-fi since 1968 and stocks the full Naim Uniti range.
