Naim Fraim Hi-Fi Support System — Ex Display

This is an ex-display Naim Fraim from our Norwich showroom — the Fraim rack system that has been used to support our demonstration equipment. It is offered at a reduced price reflecting its ex-display status. The Fraim itself is in good condition; contact us for current configuration details, number of shelves, and finish before purchasing.

The Naim Fraim is Naim's own hi-fi support system, designed and built to reduce the mechanical interference that a standard equipment rack introduces into the components it supports. It is not a cosmetic product. Naim uses the Fraim in their own factory measurements and considers it part of the system.

Construction

The Fraim uses super-hard stainless steel, toughened glass shelves that have undergone listening tests as part of their selection, large-section anodised aluminium extrusion legs, and veneered wood composite platforms. The interface between levels uses a cup-and-cone system that decouples each shelf from the one above and below it mechanically. The base includes a double-layer platform with stainless-steel floor spikes. Each glass sub-shelf sits on ball bearings within its aluminium frame.

The aluminium legs are available in three heights to accommodate components of different depths, and in silver or black anodised finish. Platform veneers are available in Natural Ash, Cherry (tinted and non-tinted), and Black. The system is modular and can be expanded with additional shelves.

Who Is It For?

The Fraim is for serious Naim system owners who want to address the mechanical environment their equipment operates in. It is the natural support for any Naim separates system — New Classic, or earlier Classic components. Buying an ex-display unit is a practical way to acquire the Fraim at a lower price than new, with the benefit of seeing exactly how the product looks assembled before purchasing.
