The Gold Note PH-10 is a high-performance phono stage designed and built in Florence, Italy. It sits at the heart of the Gold Note analogue range, offering a level of flexibility and sonic performance that makes it genuinely suitable for a wide variety of cartridges and systems — from entry-level moving magnet to high-output moving coil.
Single Knob Control
Rather than banks of DIP switches or multiple menus, the PH-10 uses Gold Note's Single Knob Control system. A large TFT display on the front panel shows all current settings clearly, and a single rotary control lets you navigate and adjust every parameter — loading, gain, equalisation curve — without disconnecting cables or reaching around the back of your rack. It is an elegant solution to a problem that has frustrated vinyl enthusiasts for years.
MM and MC Compatibility
The PH-10 handles both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges, with a wide range of loading and gain options accessible entirely from the front panel. This makes it straightforward to match the PH-10 precisely to whichever cartridge you are running — and equally straightforward to change if your cartridge changes.
Equalisation Curves
Beyond the standard RIAA curve, the PH-10 offers additional equalisation options to accommodate older records cut to different standards. For collectors of vintage vinyl, this is a meaningful practical advantage rather than a marketing point.

Who Is It For?
The PH-10 suits anyone running a serious turntable who wants precise cartridge matching without the faff of switches and screwdrivers. It pairs naturally with Gold Note's own turntables — the Gold Note Pianosa or the Gold Note Mediterraneo — and works equally well as a standalone upgrade in a mixed system.
