The Vintage Classic Gold X SP is the 10-inch model in Fyne Audio's Special Production Vintage Classic Gold range — a 250mm IsoFlare driver with 75mm titanium alloy dome compression tweeter, neodymium magnet systems, high-density birch ply cabinet, and Deep Cryogenically Treated crossover components. It reaches 28Hz in-room at 94dB sensitivity, making it one of the most efficient large floorstanders in the Fyne Audio range.
250mm IsoFlare with Titanium Tweeter
The 250mm IsoFlare driver uses a neodymium magnet system and the 75mm titanium alloy dome compression tweeter for high sensitivity and extended high-frequency capability. Neodymium magnets produce a stronger field in a lighter assembly, improving transient response relative to the ferrite systems used in the standard Vintage Classic range. The crossover crosses at 750Hz — lower than the VIII models — keeping the tweeter handling less of the midband and improving integration through the critical 1kHz–4kHz region where the ear is most sensitive.
Birch Ply Cabinet and Gold Terminals
High-density birch ply replaces MDF for improved stiffness and damping. The cabinet uses the BassTrax Tractrix downward-firing port system with twin cavity loading, and the rear panel carries gold-plated ETI binding posts with bi-wire facility and HF/Presence adjustment switches. The finish is walnut veneer with gold accent detailing.
