The FA501iC is the entry model in Fyne Audio's FA500iC series — the first in-ceiling range to use a genuine IsoFlare point source driver. Where the FA300iC series uses a conventional coaxial tweeter, the FA501iC integrates a 25mm titanium dome compression tweeter concentrically at the centre of the 150mm bass/midrange cone — the same driver topology used in Fyne's freestanding F500SP and F700SP loudspeakers. The result is wider, more consistent off-axis dispersion than a conventional in-ceiling speaker can achieve.
IsoFlare In-Ceiling
The IsoFlare driver eliminates the inter-driver distance of conventional two-way in-ceiling designs, producing a point source with coherent dispersion across the listening area. In a multi-seat room — a kitchen, dining room, or open-plan space — consistent sound at off-axis positions matters more than in a conventional stereo sweet spot. The titanium dome compression tweeter extends frequency response to 34kHz and has lower distortion at high frequencies than a fabric dome of comparable sensitivity.
Fitting
The FA501iC mounts in a 208mm circular cutout with 99mm depth behind the ceiling surface. The clamp system adjusts between 5mm and 50mm for different ceiling thicknesses. Round (232mm) and square (233 × 233mm) grille options are available. Crossover is at 1.7kHz — significantly lower than the FA301iC's 3.2kHz, keeping the tweeter handling a smaller proportion of the audio band.

Who Is It For?
The FA501iC is the choice when a conventional coaxial in-ceiling speaker is not good enough — when the room needs genuine IsoFlare dispersion consistency, or when the installation is being matched to Fyne Audio freestanding speakers elsewhere in the building.
