The F703SP is a substantial floorstanding speaker from Fyne Audio's F700SP series, built around a 250mm IsoFlare driver with a 75mm titanium dome compression tweeter at its centre. At 94dB sensitivity and with a frequency response reaching 24Hz in-room, it is one of the most effortless large speakers available at its price. The pressed high-density birch ply cabinet and WBT Nextgen terminals reflect construction standards more often seen at significantly higher price points.
IsoFlare with Titanium Tweeter
The upper F700SP models use a 75mm titanium alloy dome compression tweeter rather than the 25mm magnesium dome found in the smaller F701SP. The larger titanium dome increases sensitivity and moves the tweeter's natural resonance well above the audio band, allowing the crossover to be placed lower — at 850Hz for the upper mid/treble transition — without stress on the tweeter. The 250mm IsoFlare driver integrates this tweeter concentrically, maintaining point source coherence across the full frequency range.
2½-way Design and BassTrax
Like the F501SP, the F703SP uses a 2½-way configuration — an additional 250mm bass cone runs below 250Hz to extend low-frequency output and increase power handling without the IsoFlare driver having to manage large bass excursions simultaneously. Bass energy is loaded through the BassTrax Tractrix diffuser firing downward, with the floor acting as a distributed bass radiator. In-room extension to 24Hz is exceptional for a passive loudspeaker without a subwoofer.
Cabinet and Terminals
The cabinet is pressed high-density birch ply with extensive internal bracing — a material and construction method that adds cost over MDF but produces a stiffer, better-damped enclosure with less resonant colouration. Gold-plated WBT Nextgen 0703 binding posts support bi-wiring. HF energy and Presence controls allow ±3dB adjustment at the rear to tune treble character to the room.

Who Is It For?
The F703SP is for listeners who want a full-scale speaker with genuine room-pressurising bass and the effortless headroom that comes with 94dB sensitivity. It suits larger listening rooms and benefits from amplifiers with adequate current delivery — though its sensitivity means even modest amplifiers will produce satisfying volume levels. It is at home with large-scale orchestral recordings, jazz, and demanding rock material equally.
