IsoFlare Point Source Driver
At the heart of the F1-8 is a 200mm IsoFlare driver: a single chassis combining a multi-fibre bass/midrange cone and a 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter at the same acoustic point. The FyneFlute surround — Fyne Audio's own profiled surround geometry — works in combination with the ferrite magnet system to control pistonic movement and maintain consistency across the driver's operating range. The crossover hands over at 1.8kHz, using a second-order low-pass and first-order high-pass design with deep cryogenic treatment applied to the crossover components.
BassTrax Tractrix Diffuser
The F1-8 uses a downwards-firing port loaded with Fyne Audio's BassTrax Tractrix diffuser — a flared, mathematically derived port geometry that reduces turbulence and maintains bass extension into the low-to-mid thirties. The cabinet earns its right to sit on a dedicated stand rather than a shelf.
Presence Adjustment
The F1-8 includes a user-adjustable Presence control, spanning 2.5kHz to 5.0kHz at ±3dB.
Bi-Wiring and Finish
The crossover is configured for bi-wiring. The F1-8 is finished in Piano Gloss Walnut, and the cabinet accepts both the Fyne Audio S-Trax and Fyne Audio SuperTrax stands from Fyne Audio's range.
