Entreq Max Pa

The Max Pa introduces Palladium into the upper tier of the Entreq Max post range. Palladium is a precious metal closely related to Platinum, but its contribution to audio is distinct — where Platinum brings refinement and clarity, Palladium adds body, substance and a quality of warmth and presence that many listeners find immediately preferable. Paired with the Tungsten base that runs through the entire Max range, Max Pa sits alongside Max Pl as one of two precious-metal posts that mark a significant step forward in performance.

What a Max Post Does

Every Entreq Max post contains a specific configuration of materials housed in a wooden body, designed to influence electromagnetic behaviour at the reference point of a Corepoint unit or a ground box. The wooden body is chosen for its electromagnetic neutrality — it allows the active materials inside to do their work without interference from the housing. Max Pa simply takes the place of the standard wooden cap on the Corepoint or ground box, attaching to the same threaded post and holding the ERS wire or grounding cable in position. No modification to the system is required, and Max Pa can be swapped for any other Max post at any time.

Palladium and Tungsten: What to Expect

Entreq describe the Max Pa's character as shifting towards neutrality. In their reference system, it is tonally even-handed — bringing more air, a stronger sense of three-dimensional space, and greater retrieval of low-level detail than the Max T, which sits below it in the range. The emphasis is less on shaping the tonal balance and more on revealing what is already present in the recording. As with any component at this level, the precise effect will vary with the system it is placed into, which is precisely why a demonstration is worthwhile.

Where Max Pa Sits in the Range

The Max range progresses from Max T through Max S and Max Ti, with Max Pa and Max Pl forming the upper tier. Each post is considered a step up on the one before. Max Pa represents a point in the range where the gains become less about audible lifts and more about a change in the way music occupies the room — a step change rather than an incremental improvement, and one that suits systems already performing at a high level.

Compatible Products

Max Pa was developed alongside the Corepoint architecture supplied with every Entreq Delphius and Primer Core cable, and is equally at home with Entreq ground boxes and Tuss Kit. In all applications, it screws directly onto the threaded post of the host product — no tools, no additional hardware.

Hand-Built in Sweden

Max Pa is hand-built at Entreq's facility in Sweden, using a wooden body with a specific configuration of Tungsten and Palladium. Given the rarity of Palladium in audio applications, the composition has been developed and refined through extensive testing on Entreq's reference system.
