Entreq Magneus Signal
The Magneus Signal is a semi-passive electromagnetic field transformer from Entreq, designed to sit on network, USB, HDMI, and analogue interconnects — or on Eartha Ground Cables connected to an Entreq Ground Box. It requires no electrical connection and makes no contact with the signal itself. Simply pass the cable through the opening in the centre and place it wherever along the cable's length suits your setup best.
What It Does and Why It Matters
Most audio systems suffer from high-frequency noise and electromagnetic field interactions travelling along signal and power cables. This interference affects timing, spatial cues, tonal integrity, and overall musical engagement — yet it is rarely visible and cannot be solved by upgrading components alone. The Magneus Signal addresses this at its source.
It is not a conventional filter, absorber, or shield. Instead, it uses a carefully engineered blend of paramagnetic and dielectric materials — wood, tungsten, aluminium, copper, and brass — to shape the electromagnetic fields around a cable, reducing high-frequency instability and vagabond currents without altering the signal itself. Unlike ferrite rings, which absorb noise in a narrow frequency band, the Magneus Signal works in real time to guide and balance both magnetic and electric fields across the full frequency range.
Where to Use It
Entreq recommend the Magneus Signal on the following connections:
- Between router and network switch
- Between network switch and streamer
- On USB audio links and HDMI signal chains
- Between analogue sources and preamplifier
- Between preamplifier and power amplifier
- On Eartha Ground Cables
In our experience, the connections most likely to carry interference into a system are exactly those digital and network links that many listeners overlook entirely. Addressing them often produces a more immediate improvement than swapping analogue cables at greater cost.
How It Works
The Magneus Signal's open internal geometry and material mix are tuned to create a calmer, more coherent electromagnetic environment around the cable. The result is improved clarity, enhanced low-level detail retrieval, greater spatial stability, and a more natural, unforced musical flow. In both digital and analogue paths, it reduces glare and listening fatigue, helping music breathe with better separation and tonal purity.

Who Is It For?
The Magneus Signal suits any listener who has already invested in a capable system and is hearing a hardness or glare — particularly on streamed or digital sources — that better cables alone have not resolved. It is especially relevant if your system includes a network streamer, a USB DAC connection, or an Entreq Ground Box with Eartha cables already in place.
It is not a substitute for good cables or proper system earthing. Used alongside those fundamentals, it addresses a layer of interference that sits above them.
Buying from Martins Hi-Fi
Martins Hi-Fi has been in Norwich since 1968. Elizabeth Gould runs the business today, and we stock only brands we have heard properly and stand behind.
You are welcome to bring your own cables into the showroom and hear the Magneus Signal in context — on your own network or USB link, in a system comparable to your own.
When you get in touch, you'll be speaking with Dave, Chris and Tim — experienced specialists who can advise on this product and your whole system.
