Entreq Delphius Power Cable
The Delphius Power Cable is the first product in Entreq's new cable architecture — a hand-built mains cable designed around a genuinely different understanding of how a power signal behaves. It is not a conventional shielded cable with a drain wire. It is built around two proprietary technologies, Energy Reference System (ERS) and Corepoint, that work together to address the noise and interference that travels into your system alongside the mains power itself. Every cable is supplied with a Corepoint Power unit as standard.
Energy Reference System
A conventional power cable carries mains energy to your components. It also carries whatever the grid brought with it — high-frequency noise, instabilities, interference generated by other devices on the same supply. A drain wire can remove some of this, but it is a passive solution to an active problem.
Entreq's Energy Reference System takes a different approach. At the core of the Delphius is a separately shielded reference wire — the ERS wire — that interacts with the electromagnetic field around the cable itself. Rather than simply draining noise away, ERS works with the field, using the Corepoint unit as a stable reference point that allows it to do so effectively. The result is mains power delivered to your components cleanly and coherently, with the noise that would otherwise compromise everything downstream significantly reduced.
Corepoint Technology
Every Delphius Power Cable is supplied with a Corepoint Power unit, tuned specifically for high-current applications. The Corepoint connects to the ERS wire via spade connector and provides the stable electromagnetic reference that makes the ERS system function. Without it, the cable is a well-made mains cable. With it, the ERS wire has the reference it needs to do its work.
The Corepoint is not an afterthought — it is integral to the design. Entreq supply it with every cable because the cable's architecture depends on it.
Hand-Built in Sweden
Every Delphius Power Cable is constructed entirely by hand at Entreq's facility in Sweden. The conductors are copper and silver, the ERS wire is silver, and the dielectric is cotton. Connectors are customised to Entreq's own specifications — a custom power plug and a custom IEC connector terminate each cable, with regional plug variants available on request. Standard length is 1,650mm; custom lengths are available through your Entreq dealer.
Expandable with Max Posts
Every Corepoint unit has a connection point for an Entreq Max post, sold separately. The Max range — Max T, Max S, Max Ti, Max Pa, Max Pl and the Max Supreme — allows the performance of the cable to be extended incrementally as your system develops. Your investment in Delphius is not fixed at the point of purchase; it is the beginning of an architecture that can grow with your system over time.
Part of the Entreq System
Entreq design their products to work together as a coherent system. The Delphius Power Cable is at its best when used alongside Entreq grounding boxes, Magneus units at the system's entry points, and Protectus, Vibbeaters and MaxMix T2 products shaping the electromagnetic environment around your components. Each element makes the next more effective. Used as a system, they allow your components to perform without the noise floor limitations that most systems simply accept.
Configurations
The Delphius Power Cable is available with a UK, Schuko, US or other regional mains plug on request. The IEC connector is a custom Entreq-specified part. Standard length is 1,650mm; custom lengths are available — speak to us when ordering if your installation requires something specific.
Technical Specifications
table>Who Is It For?
The Delphius Power Cable is for listeners who have already invested seriously in their system and are finding that the mains supply itself is the limiting factor. If your components are capable and your system is well set up, but there is a noise floor you cannot get below, a harshness that does not go away, or a lack of coherence that better cables and isolation have not resolved, the Delphius is worth serious consideration.
It is not a starting point. At this level, it assumes a system that will reveal what it does. It is also, by design, the beginning of a longer journey with the Entreq architecture — those who find it effective tend to explore further.
Buying from Martins Hi-Fi
Martins Hi-Fi has been in Norwich since 1968. Elizabeth Gould runs the business today, and we stock only brands we have heard properly and stand behind.
We are an authorised Entreq dealer and can demonstrate the Delphius Power Cable at our Norwich showroom — ideally in the context of your own system, which we are happy to discuss before you visit.
When you get in touch, you'll be speaking with Dave, Chris and Tim — experienced specialists who can advise on this product and your whole system.
Contact us at info@martinshifi.co.uk, call 01603 627010, or WhatsApp on 07554 687137. You can read more about how we work on our Why Martins Hi-Fi page. We are at 85–91 Ber Street, Norwich, NR1 3EY.
