Entreq AC Wraps Tungsten

The Entreq AC Wraps Tungsten are passive cable wraps designed to reduce magnetic fields around power and speaker cables. No electronics, no power supply, no signal path interference — just a straightforward mechanical treatment that addresses a problem most systems have and most listeners ignore.

What They Do and Why It Matters

Mains cables and speaker cables carry alternating current, and alternating current generates magnetic fields. Those fields radiate outward and interact with nearby cables, components, and circuitry — adding noise that sits beneath the music and blurs low-level detail. The AC Wraps Tungsten are placed directly around the cable to reduce that radiation at source.

Entreq recommend positioning them near the wall socket when used with power cables, and close to the positive pole of the amplifier when used with speaker cables. Placement matters — these are not decorative, and getting them in the right position is where the benefit is felt.

Tungsten

The Tungsten designation refers to Entreq's material specification for this version of the wrap. Tungsten is a dense, high-mass material with properties that make it well suited to this application. It is the same material philosophy Entreq apply across their Tungsten-graded products in other parts of the range.

Who Is It For?

The AC Wraps Tungsten are for system owners who have already addressed the obvious — good cables, a clean mains feed, proper grounding — and want to go further. They are a logical complement to Entreq's grounding and power management products, and work equally well as a standalone treatment in any system where mains noise is a concern.

They are not a shortcut and they are not a substitute for good fundamentals. But for a listener who has those fundamentals in place, they are a considered, low-risk addition.
