Solid Aluminium Construction

Both the plinth and the platter of the Cyrus TTP are machined from solid aluminium billet. This is not an aesthetic choice — aluminium at this mass and precision offers exceptional rigidity and resonance control, providing the stable mechanical platform that accurate vinyl replay demands. Vibration that reaches the stylus from outside the record — from the motor, from the environment, from the supporting surface — is the enemy of low-level detail and imaging precision. The TTP's construction addresses this at the most fundamental level.

Synchronous Motor and Digital Control Circuit

The TTP's synchronous motor is managed by a custom-designed digital control circuit developed by Cyrus specifically for this application. The circuit maintains precise speed stability across varying load conditions — the kind of consistency that keeps pitch accurate and timing solid through the full duration of a record side. Wow and flutter performance is kept rigorously low, ensuring that the timing information encoded in the groove is recovered faithfully rather than smeared by mechanical imprecision.

Tonearm

The TTP is supplied with a Rega tonearm — a lightweight, low-mass design with an established reputation as a capable and neutral platform for a wide range of cartridges. The geometry and build quality of the arm ensure optimal tracking across the record, and its compatibility with the cartridge market is broad. A cartridge is not included with this ex-demonstration unit — the choice of cartridge is one of the most personal and system-dependent decisions in vinyl replay, and Dave and Chris at our Norwich showroom are well placed to advise on matching.
