Ortofon Quintet Bronze
The Quintet Bronze moves into the higher league of the Quintet moving coil series. Where the Blue uses a Nude Elliptical diamond on an aluminium cantilever, the Bronze introduces a Nude Fine Line stylus, a profile whose slimmer contact patch tracks high-frequency groove information with greater accuracy and causes less record wear in the process.

Ortofon describe the Bronze as producing a very evenhanded presentation across all aspects — classical music reproduced with power and open space around each instrument, all types of music conveyed with accuracy, precision and dynamics.
Neodymium magnets are used to achieve an optimal output of 0.3 mV at 1 kHz. Internal DC resistance is 5 ohms, and recommended load impedance is above 20 ohms. The coils are wound from pure 4-nines copper wire. Channel balance is better than 1.2 dB and channel separation better than 23 dB at 1 kHz.
Practical Design
The Quintet series body shares a geometry across all five models — straight lines, right angles, and clear stylus visibility make mounting and alignment straightforward with most standard headshells and tonearms. Top-mounting uses the supplied screws through a threaded aluminium frame, and the ample clearance between the cartridge body and the record surface makes alignment easier than many cartridges at this level.
