Ortofon Cadenza Blue
The Cadenza Blue sits in the Cadenza moving coil range above the Cadenza Red. Where the Red uses an aluminium cantilever, the Blue introduces a very thin ruby cantilever paired with a Nude FG 70 stylus.
Ruby Cantilever and Nude FG 70 Stylus
Mounted on a ruby cantilever, the improved winding process on the armature ensures better channel balance. The coils are made from 6NX (99.9999%) pure silver wire. The result is a channel balance of better than 1.2 dB and channel separation of better than 23 dB at 1 kHz.
The cartridge body combines aluminium and stainless steel, finished in the range's characteristic blue and black. Output voltage is 500 μV at 1 kHz.

Who Is It For?
The Cadenza Blue suits the serious analogue listener who has already invested in a capable turntable and phono stage and wants a cartridge that will reveal what that system can genuinely do. It pairs naturally with a mid-to-high-specification tonearm. Those stepping up from an entry-level moving coil — such as the Ortofon Quintet Blue MC — will find the Cadenza Blue a substantial and audible advance. Those looking further up the Cadenza range should consider the Ortofon Cadenza Bronze or the Ortofon Cadenza Black.
