Titanium Dome Tweeter

The HTM6 S3 features an all-new Titanium dome tweeter — a technology derived directly from the 700 Series and a significant step forward from the previous generation. Titanium's exceptional stiffness-to-mass ratio allows the dome to move with a speed and precision that softer dome materials cannot match, resolving the fine detail of consonants, sibilance, and vocal overtones that give speech its intelligibility and character. A tube-loading system isolates the tweeter from cabinet resonances, reducing distortion to vanishingly low levels and ensuring that the HTM6 S3's high-frequency performance is as clean and uncoloured as the source demands.

Twin Continuum Cone Bass/Midrange Drivers

First developed for Bowers & Wilkins' flagship 800 Series Diamond loudspeakers, the Continuum cone is a woven material of exceptional stiffness and controlled self-damping — chosen for its ability to reproduce the midrange frequencies where the human voice lives with a naturalness and low-level resolution that conventional cone materials cannot approach. The HTM6 S3 employs twin Continuum cone drivers, a configuration that provides the cone area and motor authority necessary to reproduce dialogue cleanly even against the most demanding cinematic soundtrack. The S3 generation brings an improved motor assembly with lower distortion, further enhancing the already impressive vocal response that defines this speaker.

Refined Enclosure and Bass Port

Inside the HTM6 S3's enclosure — which retains the clean, timeless aesthetic of the previous generation — there have been extensive improvements. Upgraded crossover electronics promote a more transparent and open presentation across the frequency range, whilst a redesigned bass port reduces cabinet coloration and extends low-frequency performance. The enclosure itself is stiffer than before, suppressing the resonances that compromise the midrange clarity on which a centre channel's performance ultimately depends.
