Collection: dCS Audio
dCS — Data Conversion Systems — have been redefining what digital audio can do since 1987. Founded in Cambridge, the company began life supplying precision measurement and conversion technology to the defence and communications industries before turning that engineering expertise toward high-end audio.
At the heart of every dCS product is the proprietary Ring DAC — developed entirely in-house and refined across more than three decades. It converts digital signals in a fundamentally different way from the off-the-shelf chip solutions found in most digital products, and the difference is audible: an openness and three-dimensionality that lets recordings breathe in a way that few digital sources can match.
The current range spans three families. The Lina is a compact, headphone-focused system. The Bartók brings the Ring DAC to a single integrated streamer and DAC. The Rossini builds on that with a separate DAC, streamer, transport and master clock. Above that sits the Vivaldi — a four-box statement system representing the full expression of everything dCS know how to do.
Every dCS product is designed, engineered and hand-assembled in Cambridge. We stock the full range at our Norwich showroom, and Dave and Chris know these products well. If you are considering a dCS system, come and hear one properly.
