Trade In Your Old Naim Streamer — and Actually Gain Something

There's a conversation we have fairly regularly at Martins. Someone comes in with a NAC-N 272 or an NDX — genuinely good kit when it launched, still working fine — and asks whether it's worth upgrading. The honest answer is: it depends on what you're upgrading to. Naim's Exchange Programme makes that answer considerably easier.

Running from 5th October to 13th November 2026, and available exclusively in the UK, the programme lets owners of selected legacy Naim streamers trade them in against a new-platform product. The allowances are real — up to £1,500 for an NDS — and the list of qualifying legacy products covers most of the streamers Naim produced in the previous generation: UnitiQute, UnitiQute 2, UnitiLite, Super Uniti, NAC-N 172 XS, NAC-N 272, ND5 XS, NDX, and NDS.

Why Naim Is Running This Now

It's worth being honest about the background. Some of these older products are becoming increasingly difficult to service — component obsolescence is catching up with them, and Naim has acknowledged this openly. The exchange programme is partly about clearing a path to something more supportable. That's not a criticism; it's a sensible position. A streamer that can't be repaired isn't worth keeping.

The new-platform products are designed with long-term serviceability in mind. That's not a throwaway claim — it means the product you buy today has a longer useful life ahead of it than the one you're handing in.

What You Can Upgrade To

The qualifying new-platform products span a wide range of budgets and system types. At the more accessible end, the Naim CI-NAP 101 sits within the CI-Uniti 102 family. The Uniti Atom, Uniti Star, and Uniti Nova cover the integrated streaming amplifier range. For those wanting separates, the NSC 222 is a streaming pre-amplifier handcrafted in Salisbury, offering an integrated MM phono stage and Naim's latest headphone technology — and if you want to extend it further, the NSS 333 streaming source sits at the top of the programme's qualifying list.

Additional components — the NPX 300, NAP 250, NAP 350, and NAC 332 — can be added to a purchase for further system building, with extra benefits included. One condition applies: the new-platform product you're buying must be of equivalent value to, or more than, the legacy product you're trading in.

Is This the Right Moment?

If you've been sitting on a legacy Naim streamer and wondering whether to move, this programme compresses the financial argument considerably. The exchange allowances reduce the real cost of the upgrade, and the products you're moving to represent a meaningful step in both capability and future-proofing.

Worth noting: the offer cannot be combined with any other offer, applies to UK customers only, and runs only while stocks last. The deadline is 13th November 2026.
